Mess Causes Stress – Declutter to Reduce It

As homeschooling Moms, we keep everything! All this mess causes stress in our lives and families. But we can declutter to reduce stress. You can conquer your clutter!

Do you have piles of craft supplies, drawers full of all sizes and colors of paper, hand-me-down clothes, games and puzzles (educational of course), plus piles of ideas?

If you’re anything like me, all of those scraps of paper and printed stories or verses and recipes to try all get jumbled together into one big mess.

Can make a person feel like they’re just one step away from going crazy!

Just when you get one pile under control, you turn your head to spot three more. Or when you finally get the clothes decluttered, you find three more bins in the attic that you forgot about.

So you start feeling desperate, wondering how to find the time to develop a system that works for you, how to squeeze in more decluttering, and how on earth you can get your family to participate. You wind up feeling MORE overwhelmed than you were in the first place.

I know because I have been there so. many. times.

My word for 2017? Spaciousness.

If you too struggle with clutter, or are motivated by the New Year to make positive changes in your home and life, then The Conquer Your Clutter Super Bundle from the Ultimate Bundles team is for you!

My Favorite Products in the Bundle

I purchased my own copy of the bundle this past weekend (I got advanced access), and I have to tell you, I’m super impressed by the quality of the resources included in this bundle.

Here are my reviews of three products from the bundle that I highly recommend. I even spent last Sunday implementing two of them and it’s made such a difference in my week.

The first product in the bundle that was eye-opening for me is Paperwork Sorted. Paper is my nemesis because I write everything down! I print out ideas, collect images, and notes and on and on…But the big aha moment for me in working through this course was that I have too many systems. Because I’ve felt overwhelmed before and tried some new system and then started another and pretty soon they are at odds with each other and I can’t remember which binder or file or pile I put that idea in that I need to find. Phew! I needed to consolidate and I did it with the help of Paperwork Sorted! Super helpful. This product also has photos of this Mom’s simple system set-up on shelves behind her kitchen door.

The second is called The Sunday Basket. The concept is to collect in a basket of all the papers you need for the coming week. Then you can get a second basket for items to do in the future but not this week. By doing this, you limit the number of things you need to look at and review. And know that the future items are all in one place for when the time comes. Huge peace of mind.

The third product I reviewed is called The Three Systems Every Family Needs. These include a system for family guidelines, economy, and culture. While I don’t necessarily agree with everything in this course, it has lots of inspiring ideas for creating your own family systems so that children know what to expect. Which helps everyone feel more secure and at ease. A win-win for sure.

I’ve just started working through Energy Budget: Time Management for the Chronically Ill. If you have chronic illness and are homeschooling, you know what a challenge that is! Or if you have a chronically ill child or are taking care of a family member, keeping up with it all sometimes seems impossible. In this course, you will learn how to create an energy budget and prioritize the most important household tasks so that you can only do the minimum during times when you’re needed elsewhere. Seems like a great tool for any homeschooling Mom, really!

I’m also looking forward to working through both The Ultimate Unofficial Dropbox Guide and Evernote Essentials about two amazing online tools that can really help us stay organized as homeschoolers.

If you’ve struggled to find systems to help you streamline your life and inject some much-needed peace into your home, the Conquer Your Clutter Super Bundle will remove that barrier for you.

I know that these bundles can sometimes be overwhelming in and of themselves! Are you worried you won’t know where to start with all the resources in the bundle? Don’t be! Inside the bundle you’ll find a handy Getting Started Guide so you can take action right away. This was super helpful for me to decide where to start, what to work on, and what to leave out!
